The Internet seems to think congratulations are in order for “Love and Hip Hop” couple Erica Mena and Safaree Samuels.
It’s no secret that they’re in the process of expanding their family, although fans already believe Mena may be carrying. Monday evening, she posted a photo of her and Samuels walking the Big Apple streets for the rapper’s 38th birthday celebration on July 4. They, of course, strutted in style.
Samuels wore a white tee, green and pink joggers and matching sneakers. His fiancée color-coordinated her outfit with his, wearing a pink two-piece latex top and skirt with matching heels. Via her Instagram caption, she wrote, “Our stomping grounds 💸 my fit.”
Mena’s flexing for her four million followers took a turn after fans called out her apparent bulging belly that was evidently noticeably in the photo.
“You bussing out your skirt sis 😂🤰 I think she’s pregnant.”
“Either she had just eaten or she pregnant with lil Safaree. We all know Erica stomach is flattt!”
“Wait is she preggo 😍? I see a little bump I hope it’s a baby. I’m stareing on this picture so damn hard…”
“It that a baby bump I’m peeping 👀😕 I’m complete here for it 🙌🏾. I know they want a baby.”
In March, the 31-year-old model and already mother of one took to her Instagram Live during her and Samuels’ trip to Jamaica and announced her husband-to-be were in the process of trying to have a child.
Amid conversation with a friend on IG Live, she said she’d been using sea moss — a supposed age-old Caribbean fertility concoction for couples trying to have a child — during her stay in the Caribbean to help with conception.
“I’ve had sea moss,” Mena said to her friend at the time. “‘Cause you know we’re trying to have a baby, so we’re putting it inside our drinks and stuff.”
The couple haven’t confirmed any sort of pregnancy news and Mena told fans in April, she wasn’t pregnant, but had gained “happy weight” around her midsection and lower body.
The couple first announced they were dating around November 2018, a month after she broke up with her ex Cliff Dixon, who was shot and killed in suburban Atlanta in March. The pair then got engaged on Christmas Eve after the New York rapper proposed to her at her Atlanta home. They’ve supposedly set the date for the wedding but have yet to announce it on social media.
The pregnancy rumors come just weeks after the couple’s relationship reconciliation. The rapper was accused of cheating on his fiancée with his ex-girlfriend Gabrielle Davis, which he denied.
