In February of 2019, social media learned that luxury clothing brand Gucci had included in its fall/winter collection a wool balaclava sweater that resembled blackface.

Social media users took to Pargo’s comments to let her know that she’s wrong for supporting the brand.

“Still wearing Gucci smh,” one user wrote.

“Not with Gucci!!! 🤷🏾‍♀️,” another user stated.

“Ok, you wrong for the Gucci boo!!.”

Despite the swarm of comments criticizing Pargo wearing Gucci, she still hasn’t deleted any of her pics rocking the brand.

Rappers such as 50 Cent, Souljah Boy, and T.I. have criticized Gucci and even advocated the brand be canceled.  ATL rapper Future was the exception and also went on air during a live interview at Streetz 94.5 to make it known that he’s not canceling Gucci.

“I bought Gucci before it got canceled, so I’m still gon’ wear it because that’s my money,” he said. “If you wanna give my money back then we can talk because I’m a businessman. So you can buy my clothes back if you want me not to wear it, but you can’t tell me. Because I don’t feel like they did it out of ill intentions, but it ain’t for me to judge.”

Fans will be able to check out more of Pargo’s look on the premiere of season 8 of “Basketball Wives” June 19 at 8 p.m. EDT on VH1.
