Kenya Moore has a major reason to brag about her baby girl this morning.
“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum recently uploaded a photo of her daughter Brooklyn Doris Daly holding a bottle all on her own at just 4 months old.
“Yep 4 months and trying to hold my own bottle. 👶🏽” read the caption on the pic posted on Brooklyn’s Instagram account Wednesday, March 6.

The photo positively surprised fans, who piled on the praise for the fast-growing little baby.
“Wow! She can hold her bottle?! She’s growing up very fast😍’
“She’s a grown up practically!”

As for how special it is for Brooklyn to hold her own bottle at such a young age, Dr. Sandeepa Rajadhyaksha, associate medical director of the Dallas-based Children’s Health Pediatric Group, told millennial parent website The Bump that babies typically start to hold their bottles when they’re two months to four months older than Brooklyn.
“Most babies will start holding their own bottles between 6 to 10 months, as their fine-motor skills develop,” she said.
Still, she acknowledged that babies can reach that milestone at a variety of ages and advised parents to “be patient.”
While many moms may want to see their babies hold their own bottles like Brooklyn did, Reena H. Carroll, who is the CEO of Los Angeles-based nonprofit infant care and education organization Resources for Infant Educarers, said to millennial mom website Romper, “Our approach to breastfeeding or bottle feeding is not focused on ‘teaching’ the child to hold their own bottle.”
It’s not clear if Moore tried to teach her daughter to hold her own bottle or if she picked it up herself, but either way, Brooklyn has been thriving since she arrived weeks early in November. She’s been traveling around the world with her mom and has visited New York City several times to see dad Marc Daly, Moore’s husband, who owns a restaurant in the city.
