‘Black Ink’ Dysfunction: Genesis Tells Sky Days to ‘Be a Mom,’ Hints He and Dez Haven’t Seen Her Since Filming

The drama between “Black Ink Crew” star Sky Days and her two sons continues to unfold.

It was lastly reported that the family was on the outs after Days’ sons Genesis and Dessalines insinuated that season 7’s reunion with their mother was all for money. Now Genesis is implying that Days is a “deadbeat” mother and no longer communicates with him or his brother.

Days’ eldest son, Genesis, took to Instagram on Thursday, Feb. 21, and shared a photo of himself and Dessalines out and about together in Las Vegas, Nevada. In his caption he gushed over his close bond with his younger brother.

“Ain’t no 1 on 1’s nigga he swing I hit ya…🤞🏾 #MBK #MyBruddasKeeper
#FOE #FamilyOverEverything,” Genesis wrote.

Days chimed in underneath her eldest son’s comments and wrote, “Go to school.”

Genesis clearly wasn’t fond of his mother’s remarks. He suggested that Days hasn’t called him or his little brother since filming and implied she was putting up a front on social media by commenting on his post.

“Be a mom,” Genesis hit back. “U do[n’]t even kall no nothing but u wanna talm bout go to skool over insta on my page. … It’s nice u decide to unblokk me.”

Several fans had mixed reactions to Days and her eldest son’s back-and-forth social media dispute.

“@flyyytattedsky What kind of mom runs to comments rather than calling their child tho 🤷🏿‍♂️? She clearly only cares about plastic surgery and being a ratchet. I hope this young man can somehow find peace,” one user commented.

Another second fan wrote, “Let that hurt go tf 😯. I mean if it wasn’t for @flyyytattedsky no one would know who these boys are. She’s opening up doors for them if they realize it or not.”

“Well she is right he needs to go to school 😭, but Sky don’t even post these handsome sons of ‘hers’. She need to be a better mom and he need to stop disrespecting her. PERIODT,” one fan wrote.

Days, 34, reunited with her boys two seasons ago after giving them up for adoption in her early teens. She established a tight-knit relationship with her Dessalines, whom she kept in contact with after the season ended, but had trouble connecting with Genesis.

The mother of two and her eldest son eventually hashed out their differences during season 7. Days, Dessalines and Genesis ended last season on a high note and appeared to be building as a family, or so fans thought.

Since the show, Genesis and Dez have blasted Days for no longer making an effort to be in their lives. They dynamic brother duo have allegedly threatened to expose their mother on an upcoming YouTube channel. It’s unknown if the boys will appear on “Black Ink Crew” New York’s upcoming season 8.
