Battered but Unbowed: Bow Wow Parties in Atlanta After Dustup With His Ex Kiyomi Leslie Leaves Him Marked, Mocked by Fans

Rapper Bow Wow doesn’t seem too fazed by his recent arrest for domestic battery after an alleged physical altercation with his ex-girlfriend Kiyomi Leslie.

Shad “Bow Wow” Moss was seen Sunday night partying it up with music producers Jermaine Dupri and Diddy for Super Bowl LIII weekend in downtown Atlanta. He wrote on his Instagram, “My pops @jermainedupri and my big homie @diddy fu–ing ATLANTA UP!!!!”

The former child star’s post follows after his release from jail after he and his ex-girlfriend Leslie Holden, professionally known as “Kiyomi Leslie” were hauled off to jail on Saturday, Feb. 2.

Atlanta police responded to a domestic dispute at a Midtown condominium after the off-and-on again couple allegedly got into a physical confrontation. Officers reportedly spoke with Leslie who claimed Bow Wow assaulted her. The rapper also claimed that he too had been attacked and since cops “were unable to determine the primary aggressor of the altercation, so both parties were charged with battery” according to a police statement. Both individuals sustained “visible minor injuries.”

Both Bow Wow and Leslie were transported to Fulton County Jail. Online records show they both were released on Saturday on $8,000 bonds, according to the news source.

The incident allegedly started when the model got mad at Bow for not taking her to Super Bowl-related events. Representatives for the “So So Def” rapper released a statement on Saturday evening, claiming that Bow was wrongfully arrested and Leslie was the “primary aggressor” in their alleged altercation.

“Shad Bow Wow Moss was wrongfully arrested earlier this morning for the first time after being beaten by an out of control intoxicated female, Ms. Leslie Holden, in an Atlanta condominium,” Joe Habachy, Bow Wow’s attorney stated.

He continued, “For no logical reason officers arrested both parties despite having clear-cut evidence that Bow Wow was the victim in the case.”

According to Habacy, Leslie allegedly hit the rapper with a lamp, bit him on the side of his body and spit on him despite Bow making “efforts to avoid her.”

“Bow Wow suffered multiple injuries, some of which are visible in his mugshot. Ms. Holden’s mugshot, on the other hand, speaks for itself, despite her allegation to police that she broke a fingernail,” Habachy said in the statement. “Bow Wow feels very strongly that a man should never lay a hand on a woman, even in self-defense, hence his failure to defend himself here.”

Habachy said he’s pushing to get the charges against Bow Wow dropped and working to have Leslie prosecuted.

The couple appeared on season 2 of “Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta” that aired in December. Viewers were presented a spectacle of a rocky relationship, discord that many put down to Leslie’s seeming “jealousy” and insecurities. Reps for the We TV series had no comment, according to People.

News of Bow Wow’s and Leslie’s arrest has made waves on social media and thousands of remarks poking fun at the rapper for getting “beat up by a girl” followed.

“Looks like he lost the fight and got beat up by a girl #bowwowchallenge 🤣🤣,” a critic said.

“Definitely a girl fight 😭. He always getting into it with women 🤷🏽,” another snickered.

However, supporters of the musician stepped in and condemned folks for having a double standard over domestic violence.

“Now let this be the other way around. Y’all would be crucifying this man 🙄,” a fan said.

Another added, “Crazy. If bow wow were the aggressor the headlines would be hella crazy. Women need to be held accountable in situations like this too. Did they send him to the hospital? 😒 why did they send him to jail first?”
