Kandi Burruss went public about moving into the “Celebrity Big Brother” house in a matter of days over the weekend and now she’s sharing the advice she got from another reality star and “Big Brother” alum.
Burruss told Entertainment Tonight Canada that she got in touch with former “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” cast member Brandi Glanville, who was on the inaugural season of the CBS show last year.
“’If you see somebody who’s very athletic become friends with them,’” Burruss hesitantly recalled of Glanville’s advice in the second video slide below. “I don’t know what that means yet, but I’m gonna keep that in mind.”
The singer admitted to “Entertainment Tonight” Monday that she hadn’t seen the show before quickly deciding to sign on at the urging of her 16-year-old daughter Riley Burruss. But she does have a strategy to win and take home the $250,000 grand prize.
“What I noticed on the first [season] was when you have all those people in one room, normally they bond together,” she explained. “So, they’re not going to vote each other off. I want more people who will feel bad about kicking me off than just, like, one person.”
“I always want to be in the bigger room because that’s more people you can make a bond with,” she continued. “And, I’m going to do my best to not let too many people have conversations with me not in the room. If I see people breaking off, I’ll go in and go, ‘Hey girl, what you doing?’ so she can’t be over there plotting against me.”
Burruss has since watched three episodes of season one and learned that being bossy isn’t the way to go.
“You don’t want to be too bossy, because that doesn’t work,” she said. “But then you can’t let people run you over either because that’s when they think that they are manipulating you to do what they want you to do.”
The RHOA star will be joined by an eclectic mix of celebrities in the house, including fellow singer and reality star Tamar Braxton, former Miami Dolphins running back Ricky Williams and Anthony Scaramucci, who briefly served as the White House director of communications.
