‘LHHNY’ Star Juelz Santana Sentenced to 2 Years In Prison for Airport Gun Charge

Juelz Santana was just sentenced to 27 months in prison for the charges he picked up in New Jersey earlier this year. He’ll also have to be under 12 months of supervision when he completes his sentence, according to TMZ.

It was back in March, that Newark International Airport’s TSA found a loaded handgun in the Dipset rapper’s bag, as well as eight oxycodone pills. The illegal items were discovered during the standard X-Ray screening, but Juelz didn’t wait around to face the music, he ran from the security area, got in a cab and took off.

But the Harlem native wasn’t hard to track down or identify because besides leaving the .38 caliber pistol and two bags behind, he left his driver’s license as well.

News of the sentence comes a few weeks after Juelz proposed to his girlfriend and mother of his children Kimbella Vanderhee, and many thought the rapper popped the question because of the sentence he was facing.

In fact, in an episode of “Love & Hip-Hop,” the 36-year-old rhymer said he’d get 27-37 months, so the sentence shouldn’t come as a huge surprise.

After the news surfaced, people took to Juelz’s Instagram page and some gave encouragement, while others brought up the proposal.

“Hold your head,” someone wrote.

“Damn, dude. I don’t want you to go to jail,” another person commented.

“I would’ve been like ‘Nope,’” one women wrote, referencing the proposal. “Should’ve did it before you caught them charges.”

At this time, neither Juelz or Kimbella have said anything about the sentence.
