Toni Braxton and Birdman pushed back their wedding, from what many believed was an August date, to an unknown date.
Back in February, Braxton confirmed her engagement to the music mogul, born Bryan William, in a teaser for “Braxton Family Values“. However, on the season premiere of the popular WeTV show, Braxton tells her sisters “Y’all gotta help me with the wedding. I don’t have a wedding date.” Towanda appears the most confused about the announcement since she’s already helped Toni book wedding planner Mindy Weiss for an August date.
“B and I got engaged seven months ago, but we haven’t set a date because of my schedule,” Braxton explained in the clip. “I hate that. You’re supposed to set a date and stick to it. But unfortunately, in our business, it can be challenging sometimes.”
Toni’s decision to push back her wedding date will be fodder for those who questioned the validity of her relationship with Birdman. Talk show host Wendy Williams loudly proclaimed her discontent with the couple even bashing Toni’s recent video featuring the New Orleans native. “People say she is too legendary and too grown to do this form of music,” said Williams during a segment on her eponymous show. Luckily, Toni remains unbothered when it comes to her relationship. “He and I have been friends for a really long time, for, like, 17 years, and it just grew from friendship to more than that.”
