A fan issued a demand to R&B singer Brandy about intervening in the affairs of her younger brother, “Love and Hip Hop” star Ray J. The reality star and his wife Princess Love welcomed their baby girl in May but have been making headlines thanks to internal beef among the Norwood family.
Brandy, who recently posted a photo on her Instagram rocking thick long twisted hair with the caption “#BraveLyric’s—-put some #respeck on my name I’m where it started,” appeared to be minding her business until a fan jumped in her comments section with some stern advice.
“Stay out ya brother business. He married her, let him deal with her.” The “I Wanna Be Down” singer quickly clapped back, “you don’t know me enough to give me a demand. I don’t know you so I cannot even take you serious.”
Earlier this year, the tension within the family played out in the public sphere when Brandy and her mother Sonja Norwood did not attend Ray J and Princess’s baby shower. Instead, she posted a picture congratulating the couple with the caption, “Congrats to my brother and sister on their baby and baby shower.” She continued, “I’m very excited to be an auntie. So sorry I missed this moment with the both of you. I had a show in Hampton, Va., on the same day but I’m so glad I was able to push my flight back for the gender reveal the day before. There’s nothing here but love and no matter what anyone says we are family and we will always be.”
Princess Love’s response all but confirmed all was not well with the extended family, “STFU posting this. I should post what you just [texted] me.”
