Janet Jackson has announced in a Twitter video that she is postponing the European leg of her “Unbreakable World Tour” to focus on starting a family with her husband.

The 49-year-old dancer and singer told fans in the clip released early Wednesday that she will put her European tour on hold under doctor’s orders to rest.

Jackson begins the clip by thanking her fans for seeing the show each night. She continues saying that during the second leg of the European tour, “there actually has been a sudden change. I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family. So I’m going to have to delay the tour.”

Jackson’s husband is 41-year-old Wissam Al Mana, a Qatari businessman who married the singer in a private ceremony in 2012, according to People.

Jackson continued by requesting that fans “try and understand it’s important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor’s orders. I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can.”

She later thanks her dancers and tour crew.

This marks the second time Jackson has postponed her “Unbreakable” tour. Last year, the North American leg of the tour was postponed so Jackson could have surgery for an undisclosed illness. In March, The “No Sleep” singer cancelled dates in the U.K. and Europe. She most recently performed at the Dubai World Cup last month, United Press International reports.

It was previously rumored that the European tour dates had been cancelled because of low ticket sales, but a source from Live Nation, the concert promoter, told Page Six that sales were “decent” and that “it didn’t make any sense to keep all the dates.” The source added that Jackson “has a complicated life. Her schedule was getting crazy, so we decided to pull this thing down.”

As for Jackson’s plans to begin a family, Atlanta Black Star reported in 2013 that a family member said the star was looking to adopt children from Syria or Jordan with Al Mana.
