Drake is going back to school.
Well, not exactly.
The Canadian rapper revealed that this summer he is going to be finishing off the credits he needs to finally get his high school diploma.
Drake was a student at Forest Hill Collegiate Institute in Toronto when he got a role on the Canadian teen show “Degrassi: The Next Generation.” He would ultimately appear in 138 episodes of the popular show and would up leaving high school without graduating. From TV, Drake moved into music and soon became an underground sensation with his appearance on mixtapes before finally his career exploded with “Best I Ever Had.”
“I’m actually spending my summer graduating high school,” he said. “That’s my main focus after Ovo Fest. I only have one credit left, and I’m really excited about that.”
The gossip mill also has been abuzz with rumors that Drake was not getting along well with his record label boss Lil Wayne and the Young Money Entertainment crew.
“Despite what your daily dose of bulls**t may lead you to believe, I am forever about this Young Money team,” he wrote on Twitter.
