Valentine’s Day has arrived and the men and women of Hollywood are pulling out all the stops to make sure their loved ones enjoy a wonderfully romantic holiday.
Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey won’t get to spend all day together, but Cannon promises that he is going to spoil his wife before he has to jet off to participate in a celebrity basketball game.
The 2014 Sprint NBA All-Star Celebrity Game takes place today in New Orleans, and Cannon still wants revenge against his hilarious rival Kevin Hart.
“I’m trying to do a real big Valentine’s morning and then hop on the plane and be there in time for the game,” Cannon told ABC News. “That’s my game plan. I’ll let you know how it works out.”
He went on to say that he likes the idea of flowers and candy, but he isn’t likely to cook his wife breakfast in bed.
“That would be horrible, I’m the worst cook ever, maybe I’ll order breakfast in bed,” he said.
Mariah will likely be spending some quality time at home with “Dem Babies” after she spent Valentine’s eve making incredible memories for three newlywed couples.
The “We Belong Together” songstress hosted three weddings at the Empire State Building for three couples who won the opportunity to tie the knot there.
MiMi stepped out in a fitted white gown that flaunts her gorgeous curves, along with a fur piece around her shoulders.
Jay Z and Beyonce haven’t been very vocal about their plans for the romantic holiday, but sources have learned about Beyonce’s expensive gift.
Jay Z reportedly sent Beyonce’s stylist out on a secret mission – to get a heart, lock and key bracelet known as the Promise Bracelet from Tacori, which is valued at around $2,390.
Needless to say the surprise was ruined, so Beyonce got her Valentine’s Day gift ahead of schedule.
A bigger Valentine’s Day surprise came for Rihanna, who was reportedly sent a bouquet of flowers from her rumored-to-be lover Drake.
According to HollywoodLife.com, Drake sent the flowers and an adorable card that had Rihanna grinning from ear to ear.
“She saw the flowers and was stunned and then fumbled through them to find the card,” the source said. “When she opened the envelope she was like, ‘Oh this man is too good. Too f*****g good.’ “
The source said that the card simply read, “Thinking about you.”
The same source also confirmed that while Drake and Rihanna are close friends, their relationship isn’t exactly what they would describe as “official” just yet.
Meanwhile, Rihanna’s ex will still be in rehab for the holiday, but he won’t have to spend the day alone.
Karrueche Tran has made plans to see Chris Brown in rehab and while they don’t have anything huge planned, she is going to make sure the R&B bad boy eats well.
“She wants her babe to eat,” Entertainment Wise reported. “He’s not much of an eater, he never really has been. But she’s going to make him some homemade cabbage and shrimp biscuits.”
Karrueche has reportedly been working closely with Brown’s mother to plan a small party for when the singer is released from rehab within the next few weeks.
