Mitt Romney Use Hillary Clinton In Ad Against Obama
In a sign that the race for the White House will only get more vicious, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has used Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s words of four years ago in his latest attack ad against President Obama.
Romney spent $2 million to run the ad in battleground states of Ohio, Iowa, Colorado, North Carolina, New Hampshire and Virginia. In it, Clinton makes a brief appearance in a film clip from her hard-fought and sometimes heated battle for the Democratic nomination in 2008. Obama appointed Clinton Secretary of State after the historic inauguration.
The Romney ad is purportedly used to fight back at Obama’s attacks. It cites a recent Washington Post fact-checking article that says one of the president’s commercials charging Romney with being a corporate raider is “misleading, unfair, and untrue.”
“But that’s Barack Obama. He also attacked Hillary Clinton with vicious lies,” says the ad’s narrator.
The Romney ad wraps up with a clip of Clinton from the 2008 campaigning saying, “Shame on you, Barack Obama,” in which she is complaining about Obama’s attacks on her.
