Rockets’ Dwight Howard Flings Ball at Heckler

Dwight Howard was filling up the stat sheets in Wednesday’s Houston’s loss against the Dallas Mavericks, scoring 33 points, 11 rebounds and one technical foul for tossing the ball at a heckler in the stands.

After he was  fouled while grabbing a rebound under the basket, Howard threw the basketball at a yelling fan behind the hoop, who slapped the ball back on to the court. All this happened in plain view of the refs and Howard was instantly T’d up.

Other than that, Howard was great in the game. He opened 11-for-11 from the field before his first miss with 8:18 left in the fourth. He scored a season high 33 points on 12-of-16 shooting from the field and 9-of-13 from the foul line. James Harden chipped in with 23 points and eight assists.

Howard’s heckler incident happened with 2:54 left in the game. Dallas then went on a 8-4 run to beat the Rockets. 123-120.

Howard and the Rockets welcome Minnesota to Houston on Saturday.
