Parker was born without arms, but that never stopped him from doing anything. Blessed with that I-can-do-anything spirit, Parker has landed a job as an engineer for Hendrick Motorsports, Nascar’s most winning organization.
Rex Stump, engineering manager at Hendrick said, “Based on his resume, I knew he could do the things that I needed him to do, it was more a question of how,”
Parker found a way, and there he was on the floor using his feet to build custom high-performance automotive parts.
Parker’s inspiring story aired in a segment on ESPN on Sunday and even NBA Hall of Fame legend, Magic Johnson was moved by Parker’s story. “Richie Parker’s story proves that you can do anything you set your mind to. We should all stop complaining and giving excuses.” Johnson tweeted.
