Jennifer Hudson is still into drama and giving her fans goosebumps with her exciting performances but she’s just on a smaller screen now. The singer/actress is set to premiere on the second season of the hit show Smash.
In Smash, Hudson plays Tony award-winning actress, Veronica Moore, who learns there is a price to pay to reach her dreams on Broadway. It is unclear exactly how many episodes the starlet will appear in, but as reported by E! news, she will have a “multi-episode arc.”
Co-producer of the show Steven Spielberg said, “First Dreamgirls now Smash? I have no doubt Jennifer will continue to deliver even more inspiration to the audience responsible for giving us a second season on NBC. It’s wonderful to be reunited with her at DreamWorks Television and NBC.”
Other guests lined up to star this season include Nick Jonas, Uma Thurman ,Sean Hayes, Jesse L. Martin, and Liza Minnelli.
After the show received great reviews in its first season, it was almost guaranteed a second go around. Smash is set to air Feb 5, 2013 on NBC. Preview video below:
