President Donald Trump’s fiercely loyal aide, Natalie Harp, has built her reputation by staying constantly at his side.
The 35-year-old earned the nickname “human printer” for supplying Trump with articles and social media posts. Her extraordinary access has made her one of the president’s most trusted and recognizable aides.
But that closeness has now pulled Natalie Harp into a legal battle over Trump’s attempt to monetize government information. A Monday court filing named Harp and Trump in a request for a preliminary injunction.
The order would bar them from posting announcements while “Truth API” remains operational, The Daily Beast reported.
Trump Media & Technology Group launched “Truth API” last month, offering advance access to Trump’s posts for $100,000 monthly. Subscribers can see Trump’s Truth Social posts before they appear to regular users.
That head start could give wealthy financial firms and institutional traders a lucrative advantage over the broader market.
Trump holds a majority stake in the company, allowing him to personally benefit from the subscription model, The Daily Beast reported.
His posts often contain government announcements about trade tariffs, military conflicts, and major policy decisions.
To put that in perspective, the news outlet included a graphic of how much Trump has posted on his platform just in 2026 alone. He’s taken to Truth Social 5,844 times since January.
The Intercept and the Freedom of the Press Foundation sued in federal court, contending that Truth API violates the First and Fifth Amendments by charging six-figure fees for access to public executive communications.
“We won’t let it stand,” he added.
“Trump is trying to enrich himself by privatizing government information that he has no right to sell,” said Ben Muessig, editor-in-chief of “The Intercept,” in a statement announcing the lawsuit.
A social media frenzy erupted in support of the lawsuit and in support of holding Trump accountable.
“About time someone fights back against this insane corruption,” an X user stated.
Another agreed, “Trump & Natalie Harp, I love it. She is now embroiled in (at least one) of his many, many court cases.”
This X user had just one word in support of the lawsuit, “BRAVO!!!!”
Another reader mocked Harp. “So this dumb woman is even more deranged than Dump, and has outsized influence over him. Got it.”
Harp rose from relative obscurity after reports identified her among several Trump aides secretly whisked off Air Force One in Turkey. After July’s NATO summit, Trump, Harp, and several aides traveled by catering truck to a waiting military jet.
The jet then flew them to England. Other administration officials, security personnel, and the White House press corps remained aboard the primary aircraft.
Their plane reportedly served as a decoy flight to the United Kingdom following a “credible” threat from Iran.
Harp is known as Trump’s “human printer” because she always carries a laptop. She prints whatever information Trump needs at any given moment. She also reportedly manages his social media and regularly takes dictation from him. Harp then publishes Trump’s messages directly to his Truth Social account.
Harp, a former anchor for a right-wing media outlet, began working for Trump in 2022. She has credited him with “saving her life” after he lifted restrictions on experimental treatments during his first term — though fact-checkers and medical experts have questioned the timeline and specifics of that claim.
News outlets have also obtained several letters Harp wrote to Trump, in which she professed unyielding loyalty and called him her “Guardian and Protector in this Life.”
Beyond targeting Trump and Harp, the new lawsuit over Truth API broadens its crosshairs across the White House apparatus. As reported by the Daily Beast, the federal complaint also names Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino, the Executive Office of the President, and the White House Office itself, alongside any “other persons in active concert or participation” with Truth Social’s commercial platform.
Specifically, the plaintiffs ask the court to bar those named from publishing President Trump’s official statements on Truth Social as long as the Truth API remains operational—unless a free, simultaneous version of the content is made available to the public at the exact same time.
