Angel Victoria Murdock, star of Netflix’s “Temptation Island” is now facing viral accusations that she spent roughly two years presenting herself online as a student in Duke’s Physician Assistant program.
There’s just one problem: she was never enrolled.
Duke’s Class of 2026 thought it had wrapped up their final chapter on Aug. 7. 91 students had started the program together. By the end, they knew each other’s faces, but not Murdock’s.
The reality star posted graduation photos that sent people back to the ceremony.
The pictures showed Murdock posing in cap and gown outside Duke Chapel, celebrating the late nights, sacrifices, setbacks and prayers behind the achievement.

Then the graduates from the actual program took a closer look at the pictures. And the first thing they noticed was a major mishap with Murdock’s gown.
The unraveling started on Reddit on Aug. 20, when a poster identifying as a recent Duke PA graduate laid out why the cohort had never seen her in class, on campus, at program events. The thread took off.
Then, Kiera Brown, a 2026 graduate and her class historian, posted an eight-minute video walking everyone through her discovery.
Brown said the class of 91 knew one another well enough that an unfamiliar name stood out immediately.
Murdock doesn’t appear in the official group photo, and her “Get Ready with Me for psych rotation” posts tended to surface shortly after Brown made her own.
Murdock’s Instagram and TikTok accounts, where she had gained hundreds to tens of thousands of followers, respectively, have gone dark. She has not publicly addressed any of it.
Murdock first appeared on “Temptation Island” in 2025, running six episodes as one of the singles brought in to test the couples. On the show, she was described as a physician assistant student and an Airbnb host.
Off the show, she built an audience across TikTok and Instagram documenting what looked like the grind of PA school.
Duke’s PA program is not a low-profile place to claim. It’s the oldest in the country, currently ranked No. 1 by U.S. News & World Report.
The comment sections have not been quiet either, as seen on one Instagram post.
“Genuine question. What was the end goal here?” wrote one person. Another pointed at the detail that stung: “As a PA myself , imma tell yall NOBODY , I mean NOBODY in PA school has that much free time for content creation.”
Others turned it toward the obvious. “Why do yall think the people in school not gonna dig & find the truth lol,” one user wrote. “We not in school for nothing… Peer Reviewed Evidence.” Meanwhile, another user kept it light: “She was manifesting PA degree!”
But one reply pushed back on the pile-on entirely. “Embarrassing but let’s not act like we are the only ones who do this,” they posted. “If you highlight one, highlight them all!”
Elsewhere, The New York Post reported that Murdock also presented herself online as a licensed real estate agent.
She allegedly posted listings for properties around $300,000, house tours, and thanked “clients” by name, citing monthly earnings as high as $7,200. Her bio states she is licensed in North Carolina and Georgia.
The publication found she doesn’t appear in either state’s database of licensed agents.
Howard Hanna Allen Tate Real Estate, the brokerage she named, told the outlet it has never employed anyone by that name. She also used the realtor designation without being a member. Unlike a fake gown, that carries statutory weight.
Impersonating a real estate broker is a Class 1 misdemeanor in North Carolina and a misdemeanor in Georgia. Whether any money actually moved through those deals is unclear.
Furthermore, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where Murdock claimed a double major in psychology and biology, said she left before finishing.
No criminal charges have been filed as of yet.
Inc. asked the university directly, to which Duke Health responded with a sentence that left little room. They have found no record of a student by Murdock’s name having applied to or attended the program.
