While you can normally expect the crosstown MLB matchup between the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox to be intense, some fans in the stands got more than they bargained for on Monday night.
A massive brawl broke out in the bleachers at the Cubs’ Wrigley Field, and the entire fracas was all captured on video.
The fight left at least one man with a bloody head and nose, while the chaos included multiple fans sprawled out across the bleachers at Wrigley Field.

It took Wrigley Field staff and police minutes to respond after the brawl broke out; that gave the fans involved a lot of time to throw multiple punches.
When the dust settled, three men were arrested, according to TMZ.
A 41-year-old man was booked on charges of misdemeanor battery and felony possession of cocaine (more than 15 grams). An additional two men, ages 29 and 33, were charged with misdemeanor criminal trespassing.
Video of the entire brawl in the stands can be seen below.
At one point, the man who left with a bloody nose appeared to kick a fan seated below him, sparking other fans to get involved in the ensuing melee.
“Gotta tip my cap to the cameraman,” X user @IEnders11 wrote about the video of the brawl. “Great composure! A lot of people would’ve been too hype and shook the camera around. Not this guy! Great work!”
Fans further away from where the brawl broke out also captured other angles of the altercation on video.
It is unclear at what point in the game the brawl broke out, but it did briefly distract from an exciting game on the field.
The Cubs forced extra innings by tying the game at 5-5 in the bottom of the ninth inning. The following inning, Cubs MVP candidate Pete Crow-Armstrong crushed a two-run home run to win the game and send the Cubs portion of the crowd home happy.
The Cubs and White Sox, both fighting for playoff contention, will resume a three-game series at Wrigley Field on Tuesday evening.
Hopefully all the action is confined to the field this time around.
