Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson‘s physical appearance and demeanor caught fans off guard after the mogul was seen dancing with Antonio Brown and “Power Book II: Ghost” stars Michael Rainey Jr. and Gianni Paolo.
This instance occurred backstage at Jackson’s Tycoon Weekend event in Houston, Texas. Tycoon Weekend, which runs from Aug. 25 to Aug. 28 at the Toyota Center, is a comedy and music event used to raise proceeds for the 47-year-old’s nonprofit organization G-Unity Foundation, G-Unity Business Lab and Houston Independent School District.
Jackson created the G-Unity Foundation in 2003, to help families and youth living in low-income communities improve their quality of life.
On night one of Tycoon Weekend, Jackson was seen hanging out with Antonio Brown, Michael Rainey Jr., and Gianni Paolo in what appeared to be a dressing room as the group of men began dancing to Brown’s single “Put That S–t On.”
In the Instagram clip shared on Paolo’s page, he, Rainey and Brown began doing the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers player’s viral dance that involves loosely swaying their arms side to side while moving their hips.
Jackson, who wore a multi-colored sweatsuit with a blue baseball cap, joined in on the action by doing various dance moves before the recording abruptly ended. In addition to the upload, Paolo wrote the caption, “Tycoon weekend backstage active.”
As the video circulated online, many criticized Jackson’s attire.
“Why 50 dress like G Unit going on tour?”
“Man what 50 got on?”
“50 looking like someone granddaddy lol.”
“All dat money and 50 STILL can’t dress.”
“50 dressing like it’s 2005 all over again.”
Among the previous responses, others brought up Jackson’s stance during the entire video. One wrote, “50 in the background with the turnaround.” Another said, “50 is me…tryna catch the tail end and when I can’t, mind my business.”
A third social media user posted while pointing out Jackson’s brief dance, “50 stiff as s–t.”
Other celebrity guests expected to attend Tycoon Weekend aside from Jackson and the actors and actresses from his hit Starz shows include B. Simone, Gary Owen, Bill Bellamy, Keith Sweat, Flo’Rida and Pleasure P.
