Kenya Moore isn’t the only reality star Peter Thomas, a former husband on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” has had some things to say about lately. During a recent interview, Thomas revealed his longtime dislike for former castmate Phaedra Parks.
In an interview with producer Carlos King for his podcast “Reality with the King,” the 58-year-old recalled the first time he met the attorney’s now ex-husband Apollo Nida and how Peter’s outspokenness nearly ended in fits-to-cuffs that cemented his feelings toward the Southern belle. Peter was married to former “RHOA” housewife Cynthia Bailey.
“And Apollo and I, the first time we met, we was gonna fight because you know his wife was upset I did an interview with Uptown Magazine, and they asked me what I think about the girls. I was just being honest. And she was offended maybe ’cause I didn’t like her from day one,” Peter shared, before adding, “Never did.”
“You didn’t like Phaedra day one,” Carlos went on to say. “Why is that?” Peter’s response was, “I think she’s the kind of person to throw the rock and hide her hands. I’m like, ‘This chick is messy as hell.’ She would throw the rock, hide her hands, and then push Porsha [Williams] to go do her dirty work. That s–t is crazy.”
Much like the restauranteur, fans online had plenty to say, and not much of it was kind, including one Twitter user who wrote, “Who cares Peter because you sucking up to her ex man bye you couldn’t keep one of the prettier woman in the world.”
This wasn’t Peter’s first time airing out his feelings toward Phaedra. In a past interview, the business owner accused the “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” star of making “bad reality t.v.” when asked what advice he’d give those looking to get into the industry.
The veteran reality star noted that those considering a career should make sure they’re comfortable in front of the camera. He then took the opportunity to point out what he believed to be a bad example in Phaedra.
In a 2017 appearance on “Jules Uncut!” with Juliana Richards, Peter said viewers knew little about the star who had joined the cast, along with him and his ex-wife Cynthia Bailey, for the show’s third season in 2010.
“I watch, I think… Phaedra makes bad reality t.v. because you really don’t know anything about her,” he said. “I don’t know why they keep her on the show because she doesn’t reveal it.”
It’s best to note that this appearance was uploaded nearly a month after Phaedra’s firing from the franchise in April 2017. Phaedra has yet to respond to his comments.
