‘You’re a Fool’: Tisha Campbell Had Fans In Shambles During Her ‘Black Momma Sayings’ Video Featuring Her Sons

There is a saying, “You can take the girl out of Newark, but you can’t take the Newark out of the girl.” Actress Tisha Campbell did the Black Momma Sayings challenge on social media and proved to the world just how true that adage is.

The challenge required the children to hold up ten fingers and listen to a series of questions about things the person’s mom might have said to them when they were growing up. For each answer that applies, the participant is to fold down a digit. Mom, ideally, should sit there and minimally respond. But not “Gina!” She had an almost gut-busting response, using her whole body to communicate and relying on very competent comedic skills.

While there technically is no winner, the game ends when all ten fingers are balled up into fists.

Campbell originally posted the challenge with her boys, Xen and Ezekiel Czar Martin, as the participants on TikTok, but then she posted on her Instagram. The game began with the mom seated in front of her 20- and 12-year-old sons standing in back of her ready to prove just how “Black” their mom is.

The first statement asked if the Martin star ever said, “I’m not one of your little friends.” She smiled with a slight shrug as the siblings each put one finger down. The next statement was “I am not boo boo the fool.” This was the first statement where the brothers split, as Campbell shook her head saying, “I don’t say that.”

The speaker in the challenge said “Put a finger down if you’ve heard a hard head makes a soft behind.” Zeke, again, outed his mom. She responded, “I say that?”

The boys are starting to crack up as she denies saying the last statement and carried their giggles over to the fourth statement, which actually is a question: “You got McDonald’s money?”

“Oh, I say that,” she said while rolling her head. “Stop all that crying or I’ll give you something to cry about,” the voice said, as the boys swiftly pulled their fingers down.

Mom affirmed, “I’ll f##k your #ss up!”

The challenge continued with “I hope you know your school work like you know the words to that song you be singing!” Campbell added, “and the videos.”

The narrator gave his best Big Momma impression and said, “Fix yo face.” She corrected him, saying it’s “Fix yo godd-mn face.”

“When we get in this store don’t ask me ….” She interrupts him with a dramatic neck round-about (the next level up from a neck roll) and says “for nothing!”

Both of the sons are laughing, but poor Zeke, who barely has any fingers left, can’t stop cracking up at his comedian mom.

“Stop running in and out of my house,” is the next Black Momma saying shared. Clearly, Campbell has said this before, because she goes and gives a reason why that’s not a good idea. She said, “You letting my air out.”

The last one asked the boys if their mother ever told them they “smelled like outside.” She corrected the voice. She said, “And you smell like s##t. I say that too. You smell like s##t. Someone in here is smelling like s##t.”

Her caption captured it all, “Black momma and proud of it!!!” The comment section of her IG profile was a crack up, as people reacted to her responses and how well her boys knew her.

Campbell’s “House Party” co-star AJ Johnson wrote, “You’re a FOOL!!!” and then could not stop laughing at her industry nephew, Zeke. The pre-teen lost his cool before the 1 minute challenge could even start.

One fan said, “They need to add toes dealing with you,” while another added, “Man, I thought that was Duane.” Her ex came up again as yet another person remarked, “Wow the oldest looks like his father.”

Comments talked about her career, her beauty and how funny she is. Some of the posts saw the Jersey girl, no matter how many Hollywood accolades she has acquired, and called her “gangster.

Jazzy Phat proclaimed what many fans have known forever: “Tisha a whole gangster in these Hollywood streets.”
