Halle Berry Wants to Play Zendaya’s Mom In a Film, and Black Twitter Has Fun with the Potential Storyline: ‘Losing Zendaya’

Halle Berry‘s dream on-screen daughter is none other than “Euphoria” star Zendaya, and not only are fans onboard with the “Bruised” actress’s casting choice, they’re also filled with potential plot ideas for the ladies to explore together.

Berry, 55, considers herself a fan of the rising superstar and recently expressed interest in sharing the screen with Zendaya, saying that she’d proudly play her mother and has already been cooking up a plan in her head to make it happen.

“I have a plan,” she said in a Jan. 7 Variety interview in reference to the “Dune” star. “I would love to play her mother. I have an idea, because I think she’s the future.”

When Black Twitter fans caught wind that the Academy Award-winning actress wouldn’t hesitate to appear opposite the “Malcolm and Marie” star, it didn’t take long for the story pitches to start pouring in on the social media platform. Users shared ideas ranging from a play on “Losing Isaiah,” to fantasy and sci-fi genres, and beyond.

“How about some fantasy for a change? Halle is descended from a secret coven of New Orleans witches but since left that life…Zendaya is raised with no knowledge of her mother’s powers/history until hers kick in at school”

“I’m thinking Heartbreakers ish… black wealthy college educated live in Beverly Park… mother and daughter duo find out the her (halle’s) husband is cheating and they decided to drain him of all of his money liquidate his assets and she find s new love remarried the end.”

“Do sci fi movie. Put some black women in space”

The “Catwoman” star previously gushed about her respect for the former Disney Channel kid’s talent and predicted great things for her future. “She’s brave, not afraid to take chances, authentic and wildly beautiful,” Berry told “Variety.” “She’s not afraid not to be beautiful. I see her as an actress who will fight to be greater than her beauty. She’s not relying on it. She’s working hard as an actor, and she will take risks. I think she will surprise us along the way.”
