Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson and his fiancée Sharelle Rosado shared that they would be expanding their blended family to 11 children on Monday, Aug. 16, following their pregnancy announcement during an interview with People magazine.
Both Johnson and the luxury real estate broker have children from previous relationships. The former Bengals wide receiver has seven, while Rosado has three. The couple, which is expecting its first child together, also disclosed that the latest addition would be a baby girl.
Rosado told the publication that she found out about her pregnancy while filming her new Netflix reality series “Selling Tampa.” “Selling Tampa” is a spinoff of Netflix’s “Selling Sunset,” a reality show that follows real estate agents from The Oppenheim Group, a luxury property agency, as they sell multimillion-dollar homes on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, California.
The expectant mother said, “It was shocking. I think I was crying and laughing at the same time. I just can’t wait. It’s actually going by so fast. I found out I was pregnant while we were filming, so time is flying. It doesn’t even seem like it’s been that long.”
Despite the pair’s excitement for their little one, she added that this might be the last to join the clan. “I always wanted a big family, so I think with this last one, she’s just the perfect number to finish it off.”
In addition to the interview, Rosado shared the pregnancy news on her Instagram page with a photo of her and Johnson. She wrote, “It’s with full hearts, a ton of joy, and love to reveal… We’re expecting! ❤️ It’s been so hard keeping this a secret but I’m excited to finally share the news with all of you! We’re so blessed to have such amazing people in our lives and in our hearts. Looking forward to a future of fun, love and adventure.”
As the announcement spread like wildfire all over social media, many people expressed how they truly felt regarding the news. While some congratulated the couple, a handful of others poked fun at Johnson’s ability to keep breeding children at the age of 43. The star’s youngest child prior to the pregnancy announcement is about 5 years old.

Johnson and Rosado made their debut as a couple last October, and ultimately became engaged a few months later. Following that announcement, Rosado shared in February how she and Johnson initially met during an episode of his weekly podcast “I Am Athlete.” The expectant mother explained that she slid in his direct messages on Instagram after meeting Johnson at a track meet.
“I slid in his DM,We used to tell — the joke was, we met on Christian Mingle, but I actually slid in his DMs.”
