“Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” watchers are getting more and more frustrated with Safaree Samuels.
By now, fans of Safaree Samuels and his estranged wife Erica Mena know that the two are headed to divorce, but this new season of “L&HHATL” gives viewers a close look at the events that led up to this decision. After having a few already tough conversations, Mena and Samuels had another intense moment on the latest episode of the show.
The two were happily discussing the gender of their baby, who was born in June, and Mena revealed that they were going to have a son. But in the middle of their conversation, their 1-year-old daughter, Safire Majesty, who was playing with a guitar at the time, lost her balance and fell backward on the tile floor. As Safire cried on the floor, Mena started picking up the guitar, while Safaree stood to the side, laughing.
Mena got upset with Safaree for laughing instead of picking their daughter up and asked him “What’s your problem?” Safaree replied, “She’s fine” and said, “see when she’s in here with me by herself this don’t happen.”
In the confessional, the mother of three said, “This moment is probably setting me up to get ready for what my life is about to be. Me having to hold down my babies by myself even when they’re hurting because daddy finds it to be funny. But it just proves how immature he is.”
After placing her daughter outside of the room, Mena told Samuels, “that was a real d-ckhead move of you,” to which he replied, “It’s your fault, you shouldn’t have had her over there.” The scene cut back to Mena being in the confessional, where she says, “I’m completely angry because I just feel like everything you portrayed yourself to be in the beginning is nothing what you are really are.”
Fans spoke about their feelings about the incident in the comments. One person said, “he a straight clown she could’ve had damage done to her head,” and someone else had a few words for Mena. That person wrote, “But Erica was closer to her baby & decided to pick up the mf guitar instead of her baby… how they mad at Safaree… wtf she’s pick up the guitar doe 😩😩she’ didn’t want to be bother with her own baby, hint she’s came back without her daughter.”
Samuels, who saw the second person’s comments, decided to respond. He said, “chillll let the edit rock 😂😂😂.”
Samuels and Mena tied the knot in October 2019, and Mena filed for divorce in May 2021. They have two children together.
