‘It’s the Motherly Love for Me’: Kelly Rowland’s Fans’ Fawn Over Her New Video with Son Noah Playing Together

Kelly Rowland’s latest post of her infant son Noah Witherspoon tugged her fans’ heartstrings on Wednesday, July 21, after the singer uploaded a video of the pair laughing and spending some quality time together. The initial recording showcased Witherspoon pulling his mother’s hair and grabbing her nose as the 40-year-old said, “Ooh, that was my eye, that was good. That was really good.”

As the clip continued, Rowland could be seen mimicking her 6-month-old son as he began to roar. The “Motivation” vocalist shared a lighthearted caption alongside the adorable moment. She wrote, “Giggles with Noah!!”

Immediately following Rowland’s post, fans began flooding her comments section with “mother” theme statements. A few mentioned how “beautiful” this particular role looked on her.

“This is motherhood? 😍 I’ve never seen a scene more beautiful and heartwarming.”

“Motherhood looks so good on her. She’s beautiful 😍😍😍😍.”

“It’s the motherly love for me 😍😍.”

“Motherhood is beautiful on her ❤️🙌.”

“Awww mommie duties😍.”

A couple of Instagram users advised the mother of two to cherish every little stage in Witherspoon’s life during his younger years. One wrote, “Those moments are in one time in your lifetime you will enjoy it, cause they’re growing so fast, that is so cute 😍God 🙌.” Another said, “So gorgeous, cherish they grow so fast ❤️.”

Rowland announced she was expecting her youngest son with husband and manager Tim Witherspoon in October 2020 as she graced the cover of Women’s Health Magazine. The singer was wearing a gold flowy dress displaying her baby bump as she captioned the post, “SURPRISE!! My @womenshealthmag cover issue is online now and on newsstands next week!” She ultimately gave birth months later in January.

Rowland also has a 6-year-old son named Titan Jewell Witherspoon.

Still independent.

We hope this story was worth your time. For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed Black-owned and independently run. We didn't get here by waiting on ad budgets that were never built to prioritize us. Our readers did that.

Corporate support for Black media has always been thin. Outlets like ours get roughly 1% of the $170 billion spent on U.S. advertising each year, and that margin is shrinking further as advertisers walk back the DEI-linked commitments they made in 2020. That's the backdrop. It's not why we're asking.

The wider picture isn't any steadier. Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under, it's rarely the ones built to center a Black perspective from the ground up that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
