Rihanna might be ready to put in some “work, work work, work, work, work” into her album now.
The Barbados singer was spotted getting into a white Rolls Royce with her boyfriend A$AP Rocky, and they headed to the studio together on the night of Wednesday, July 7. Anyone who is a true fan of Rihanna knows that she is a powerhouse fashionista, and she rarely does anything without a splash of style.
The “Love On The Brain” artist sported a simple, multi-green outfit. According to Fashion Bomb Daily, she wore a $4,500 Prada mint green bucket hat, mint green Prada shades, a cut-off grey and green vintage shirt, $258 Citizens of Humanity jeans and $660 white Amina Muaddi Leather Pumps. Rocky knows a thing or two about fashion himself, but since he was in the car in all of the photos, his outfit could not be seen.
Several fans commented about the couple’s trip to the studio, with some hoping it would mean Rihanna would be working on an album. One person said, “all i know is she better be recording her album too… she know how to multitask.”
Another anxious fan wrote, “Recording her album or his? Or are they recording an album together? Give us the details!!!”
Others decided to not even waste their time getting excited, since Rihanna hasn’t released a new studio album in 4.5 years.“I guarantee A$AP is the one recording. I’ve lost faith in R9,” said one person, while another wrote, “Y’all know she ain’t recording nothing.
Since the fans have yet to get any updates about her ninth studio album, it appears that many are choosing to blast “Anti,” which is her previous album. “Anti” actually made history again earlier this week as it has sat on the Billboard 200 chart for 275 weeks. This record makes Rihanna the first black female artist to reach this milestone.
Perhaps Rihanna will thank her fans for helping her make history by rewarding them with the ninth album.
