‘If This Ain’t a Teenage Version of Blaze’: Kandi Burruss’ Throwback Photo Detours Once Fans Fixate on How It Evokes Her Baby Daughter’s Face

Kandi Burruss’ throwback photo taken with producer Dallas Austin and singer Christina Aguilera in the studio had fans doing a double take after they realized how her facial appearance in the shot evokes that of her 1-year-old Blaze Tucker.

Burruss, who tagged both Austin and Aguilera in the March 4 post, captioned the upload “#TBT when music was life! Hanging out in the studio with @dallasaustins & @xtina.” Austin commented under the post by asking the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star where she found the pic. “Oooooooo Sh-t where’d you find that ??? ❤️.”

Many fans overlooked the photo’s significance to Burruss and kept mentioning how identical her younger daughter looks to her.

“Wow all I see is blaze 😍😍😍”

“If this aint a teenage version of Blaze…”

“Blaze is your TWIN!!!!”

“If you don’t give Blaze back her face!”

While many fans pointed out how much the reality star’s baby girl resembles her, others brought up Burruss’ music credentials. One wrote, “Kandi yo you really the hit maker fr.” Another wanted people to put respect on Burruss’ name because they deemed her a legend in the entertainment industry. “Y’all stop playing with Kandi, she’s a LEGEND in this music industry🔥🔥🔥.”

An Instagram user suggested the singer has worked with everyone. “Is there anyone you still want to work with? Seems like you’ve worked with everybody.”

Buruss songwriting credits stem from the early 1990s. She has worked with artists such as Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Destiny’s Child, P!nk, and many more. Her most famous hits include TLC’s “No Scrubs,” — which was also co-written by Chilli, T-Boz, Debra Killings, Kandu, and Tameka “Tiny” Harris — P!nk’s “There You Go,” and Destiny’s Child’s “Bills, Bills, Bills” and “Bug-A-Boo.”

The Xscape singer received writing credentials for songs like Ariana Grande‘s “Break Up with Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored” and Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” because they sampled songs Burruss previously wrote.

In 2017, Sheeran gave Burruss and Tameka “Tiny” Harris songwriting credits after fans realized the pre-chorus rhythm of “Shape of You” was similar to TLC’s “No Scrubs” chorus and called out the singer on Twitter.

Following the news, Burrus thanked Sheeran by sharing a meme video on Instagram with the caption: “Congrats #edsheeran@teddysphotos for having the #1 album! & thank you for allowing @majorgirl & I to share in the success of #ShapeOfYou! #1for 7 weeks! This is how I dance every time this song comes on. #ShapeOfYou#Blessings.”
