Lauren London Makes Her First Screen Appearance Since Nipsey Hussle’s Passing In New Film with Michael B. Jordan: ‘I Know Nip Super Proud’

Actress Lauren London is returning to the big screen for her first film since the passing of her longtime beau Nipsey Hussle.

The “ATL” actress is marking her return by starring alongside GQ’s “Sexiest Man of the Year,” Michael B. Jordan, in “Without Remorse.” In the film, Jordan seeks to avenge the murder of his pregnant wife, portrayed by London. Fans who have missed seeing the actress’s face on television and the big screen flooded her Instagram post for the film’s trailer with comments of support.

“Yesss sis is back 💪🏾💯”

“So happy to see you on the screen again 🙌🏾”

“👏👏👏 can’t wait! Glad to see you acting again!”

At the time of Nipsey’s slaying in March 2019 the actress was gearing up to promote her return to television with the BET sitcom “Games People Play.” However, aside from showing her support for the project on social, her grief eclipsed any press obligations that may have been lined up.

As a result of the tragedy, London took time away from the public eye, with the exception using social media to share posts of remembrance for Nipsey, to promote projects in his honor, and a stop by “Red Table Talk” to discuss gun violence.

Despite the fact that London has been lying low and working to move through the grief of losing a loved one, that has not been enough to quell rumors. In late February 2020 the actress addressed rumors that she had moved on with music industry veteran Sean “Diddy” Combs.

A year later, February 2021, she again had to address rumors after people began speculating that she was expecting her third child. She addressed the matter by tweeting, “Woke up to some straight bulls–t. Rumors! Lies! On a woman trying her best to heal?! Please stop. I’m NOT pregnant. Now back to my sacred healing circle #LLNH”

At least one fan who watched the “Without Remorse” trailer was able to piece together that the rumors of London expecting another baby might have been caused by her fake baby bump in the film.

“That’s why the pregnancy rumors were floating, I hate yall! let my girl live in peace”

“Without Remorse” premieres April 30 on the Amazon Prime streaming platform.
