Angela Simmons flooded her fans’ Instagram feed on March 1 with two glamour uploads, including a solo shot and another with her older sister Vanessa Simmons. The photo that generated the most attention and likes was the post that included Vanessa, because fans deemed it’s been awhile since the duo have been seen together.
Angela, who sported a shimmery burgundy dress with a full face, hooped earrings, and wavy hair, captioned the highly favored photo “the Bloodline ✨.” To which Vanessa, who wore a shimmery backless ensemble, commented two smiling faces with hearts emojis. She later went on to repost the image on her Instagram Story. Fans expressed their excitement at seeing the Simmons sisters unite.
“It’s good to see you with your sister Angela🙌🙌🙌❤️❤️.”
“Aaaawww I missed seeing you guys together.”
“2 goddess in one photo just beautiful a true masterpiece.”
“Yessss we love to see it ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ sister sister 🔥🔥🔥🔥.”
“Love to see more pictures of you two together.”
While fans marveled over the beautiful sisters and how excited they were to see the pair together again, others mentioned how much they loved Angela and Vanessa on reality television, especially “Run’s House,” which premiered in 2005 on MTV and followed the lives of hip-hop pioneer Joseph “Rev. Run” Simmons and his family. One wrote about how much they missed the show, “Miss the show loved it 👑👑 ‘Run House.'”
Another mentioned how the Simmons girls were their favorite sisters. “My favorite sister’s on reality tv show’s 😍.”
An Instagram user brought up the good times they experienced while watching “Run’s House.” “I remember all y’all on run’s house, good memories.”
In 2007, while riding the success of “Run’s House,” the Simmons sisters launched Pastry, a popular shoe line with professional and university dance teams. The company ultimately added accessories to its collection. Following the end of “Run’s House” in 2009, both sisters went on to work and started their own families. Vanessa welcomed her daughter Ava Marie Jean Wayans in 2014 with ex Michael Wayans.
Angela welcomed her son Sutton Joseph Tennyson in 2016 with ex-fiancé Sutton Tennyson, who was later shot and killed in 2018.
In recent years, both sisters returned to the small screen by joining the “Growing Up Hip Hop” franchise.
