Former ‘BBW’ Stars CeCe Gutierrez and Royce Reed Show Their Support for Ogom ‘O.G.’ Chijindu Following the Release of Her Unedited Conversation

Former “Basketball Wives” stars CeCe Gutierrez and Royce Reed sent their love and support to Ogom “O.G.” Chijindu by flooding her Instagram post after the former athlete released the hour-long colorism conversation with Kristen Scott last week. The comments’ dates span from Feb. 24-25, days after the initial audio was made public. The first former “BBW” star that extended her support was Royce Reed.

Reed, who left the VH1 show after season 4, initially told Chijindu she didn’t want to comment on the issue because she was trying to close that chapter of her life. The former reality star changed her mind after realizing the other “BBW” ladies weren’t holding themselves accountable.

She said, “I really wanted to stay out of this because it’s a chapter in my life I wanted to keep closed… I 100% agree with you. The amount of disrespect I received and favoritism I witnessed for 4 seasons to be blanketed by and dismissed by production edits or cast interviews was depressing.”

Reed added that although she encountered upsetting moments while working on set, she decided to return because she was told things would change. “But I went back for those seasons after being told a change would happen. It never did. To even excuse the terms used when other networks have respectfully parted ways with cast members for less offensive remarks simply because of ratings is so sad and shows not much has changed on the network.”

The mother of one concluded her statement by applauding Chijindu for showing the public her side of the storyline. “Even the Bachelor is owning up to their mishaps, but this show REFUSES TO ACCEPT THAT L and make it a teachable moment I commend you on posting this”

Cece Gutierrez left her friend a lengthy message on Feb. 25 by mentioning her own issues with “BBW.” One notable incident occurred during season 8 when Evelyn Lozada called Gutierrez — who is of Filipina descent — Ling Ling following an argument.

“I just now watched only this episode, and I am not surprised,” Gutierrez began. “I miss you, I love you and I am PROUD of you! Yes, it’s what they do! Yes, it’s what they’ve done many times to me. The amount of disrespect is unbelievable. Nothing was done to address what was done to me…NOT ONE THING. Instead, it was amplified for entertainment and never addressed after the fact. What did the executive producer say about that? Or anyone else to fix it or address it? But this is not about me, this is about you. And I will always stand for you…forever.”

Gutierrez initially joined the “BBW” cast during season 7 and left the following season.

Chijindu shared the unedited colorism audio with Kristen Scott on Feb. 24 to show her fans what really occurred during their hour-long conversation following the new episode of “BBW.” Scott’s supposed intention was to try to mend the feud between Chijindu and the other ladies.

The reality star captioned the post, “•🎥🎞 THΞ RΞΛL RΞΛLiTY 🎞🎥•LiSTEN VERY CAREFULLY AFTER WAiTiNG OVER 2HRS FOR THiS GiRL TO COME FORCE AN iGNORANT CONVERSATiON.. iWAS EXTREMELY NiCE, PATiENT AND ACCOMMODATiNG.. WHY THiS WAS NOT SHOWN iDO NOT KNOW.. “⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

She ended the quote by thanking those who have supported her. “TO EVERYONE THAT HAS BEEN SUPPORTiNG ME FROM DAY 1 THANK YOU SO MUCH!! ♥️🙏🏿..YOU ALL DESERVE THE TRUTH..♥️🙏🏿.”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
