Ashanti’s latest provocative photo broke the internet on Feb. 7 after she shared a post of herself wearing a sheer black lace lingerie ensemble while showcasing her assets in front of a purple backdrop.
The PrettyLittleThings ambassador, who accessorized the attire with a black jacket and jewelry, captioned the snapshot with hashtags to her new single “2:35 (I Want You),” which was released earlier this year. “#iwantyou#iwantyouchallenge#235.” Fans exulted over Ashanti’s sensual new look.

While others salivated over the “Foolish” songstress’s sultry photo, some fans mentioned Ashanti’s love life. One bashed the St. Louis rapper Nelly for messing up his relationship with the 40-year-old. “Nelly f–ked up bad.”

An Instagram user asked Ashanti if she was single while jokingly confessing their profound love for her. “Shanti Please tell me you single lol‼️ #iiineedyoubabe.”
Ashanti and Nelly dated for nine years before officially calling it quits in 2012. The rapper allegedly cheated on her with multiple women throughout the course of their relationship. Years following the breakup, the “Baby” vocalist appeared to confirm those allegations during an interview on the “Meredith Vieira Show” by stating that she was felt betrayed by the “Dilemma” rapper.
“I think sometimes when people have their own insecurities it allows them to act out of character,” Ashanti said. “I’ve been betrayed. Again, you just have to grow. You have to grow up and accept responsibilities for the things that you do. I’m not a big fan of people being cowards. I think it’s really important to know yourself and understand what you want and get it. I’m in a different place right now.”
Although Ashanti’s current relationship status is unknown, the R&B crooner was recently linked to rapper Joyner Lucas following their steamy love scenes for his “Falling Slowly” video.
