Tina Knowles-Lawson took to Instagram on Jan. 28 to inform her fans that her granddaughter Blue Ivy Carter may have a future in the beauty industry.
The doting grandmother said as she uploaded an image of her full face, “My talented granddaughter Blue made up my face today. She is only 9 years old can you imagine her at 15 doing my makeup? She Beat My Face ❤️Gonna save me a lot of money on makeup artist fees 😂❤️”
Fans brought up how the 9-year-old will financially benefit from her flourishing talents.
“Blue gonna be charging $25,000 a face.”
“Sis is about to capitalize on all these talents.”
“Now she knows blue is going to charge a fee she don’t be playing with her family period 😩🤣😂.”
“Wow she did a really good job!!! A diva in the making 🔥.”
Fans also expressed how support from Blue Ivy’s family — including Beyoncé and father Jay-Z alongside Knowles-Lawson — has influenced her budding career.
One wrote, “She such a well rounded and articulate child. She’s so dope. When you love and support your children, it definitely shows.”
Another Instagram user said they loved the bond that Knowles-Lawson shares with Blue Ivy. “I luv how she lets Blue do things like this with her. It’s priceless. And so beautiful to see Blue is about to have business.”
Blue Ivy’s recent career-high occurred months ago when she added narrator to her list of skills. The young storyteller voiced the audiobook called “Hair Love,” based on the Oscar-winning short film with the same name.
Matthew A. Cherry, the book’s author, announced the news on his official Twitter page in November by sharing a snippet of Blue Ivy’s voice. “Hair Love” is a story of a father’s journey doing his daughter Zuri’s natural hair for the first time. Knowles-Lawson congratulated her granddaughter by reposting the clip to her Instagram account.
She said, “WOW!!! I heard My Grandaughter’s narration!! She killed it!!!! I cannot wait to download her voice reading it!!!!!! The ‘Hair Love’ audiobook is now live. Narrated by Blue Ivy Carter 😍👏🏾.”
