Kenya Moore Admits Her Wrongdoing in Apollo Nida Drama: ‘I Think I Could Have Distanced Myself from Apollo All Together’

Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kenya Moore revealed on Jan. 24 during a special episode of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” that the one feud she regrets being a part of was with former co-star Phaedra Parks. The pair’s feud ignited over the former beauty queen’s friendship with Parks’ ex-husband Apollo Nida

Moore, who celebrated her 50th birthday as the guest of honor on “WWHL,” told Cohen as they recounted her past feuds over the years that she wishes she had distanced herself from Nida the moment she sensed an issue. “I think I could have just distanced myself from Apollo altogether, not been so chummy-chummy, especially when it bothered his wife.”

The mother of one added that despite hashing things out on the show, the former co-stars don’t have a relationship outside of social media. “You know what? We don’t have a relationship, but we’ve been on each other’s social media, and we’ve made jokes and stuff, so I think it’s pretty cordial.”

The ongoing beef between Moore and Parks occurred when Nida claimed that the model had propositioned him for sex through text message while they were in Los Angeles. Upon hearing the news Parks called Moore a whore on several different occasions. Even after Nida admitted to lying about the whole thing, the damage was done.

The ladies ultimately made up in season 7 of the hit Bravo series during a cast trip to the Philippines. Parks admitted following the revelation she wasn’t in the frame of mind to talk to Moore about what happened because of all that transpired.

“Hurt people do things to hurt others sometimes, I can’t change the past. I can only move forward. I’m ready to move forward — I’ve been ready.”

The Kenya Moore Hair Care creator disclosed while tearing up how hurtful and damaging the names Parks previously called her — such as “Kenya Moore-Whore,” “Kenya Poor-Whore” — have been to her reputation. “You didn’t even treat me like a human being. I was left with no choice but to believe that you are just literally trying to destroy me.”

As Parks tries to apologize for her mistakes, the 1993 Miss USA winner added she never saw Nida in California.”I have never seen him in L.A. I have never propositioned him. I have never crossed a line with him, nor have I ever wanted to. I just need to know that you believe that.”

Parks, who was proceeding with a divorce from Nida at the time, told the model that her slate was “clear” because she felt going back and forth and thinking about what could have happened wouldn’t resolve anything.

Since then, the co-stars started following each other on Instagram after Parks reposted a meme featuring Moore while awaiting the presidential election results last November.
