In October, actress Amber Riley revealed that she connected with her current boyfriend, Desean Black, after sliding into his DMs on Instagram. The “Glee” alumna later encouraged other women looking for love to do the same.
One user must’ve misinterpreted Amber’s message or didn’t realize Black was off the market after sliding into his DMs only to be greeted by Amber herself.
In a hilarious account, the singer, who goes by just RILEY, recounted how an unsuspecting individual reached out to Desean recently to call him “handsome” and to wish him “a blessed day.” The “My One Christmas Wish” star quickly caught the message and replied to the admirer by sending her a photo of herself attached with the comment, “We will. Thanks sis.”
The actress later shared a screenshot of the exchange to her Instagram Stories, adding the caption “Anybody else wanna wish US a good morning? #petty.”
Amber spoke about dealing with crushes on Black during an interview on the Oct. 23 edition of the “I’m Here For The Food” podcast with host Melyssa Ford. According to the conversation, Black shared the contents in his DMs with his girlfriend, and the actress admitted that she was shocked by how “flooded” his inbox was. “I mean people were just like, ‘Y’all really together?'” the star said. “Y’all b–ches is thirsty. Y’all nasty. Just so you know, he shows me everything. Stay outta that man’s DMs.”

The songstress went public with her romance when she shared a photo of herself and the Houston resident on her Instagram page. On Monday, Oct. 12, Amber participated in the viral social media challenge called “How it started, How it’s going,” in which a user displays an image describing how they met their love interest and another of where the couple stands at the moment. Since its birth, there have been several variations, including some couples who didn’t last.
In Amber’s case, her “How it started” was a screenshot of her first conversation with her boyfriend. “Hi Desean, how are you,” to which he responded, “Hey beautiful I’m doing great and you???” Alongside that exchange, the “How it’s going” portion was a photo of Black kissing her cheek. “Y’all: “i DOn’T sLiDE in NiGgAz dMs.Me: 🏄🏾♀️,” the actress captioned the snap, adding “#BGE #BIGGIRLENERGY 💅🏾.”
