‘Your Lil Twin’: Fans Gush Over Angela Simmons’ Photos with Her Son

“Growing Up Hip Hop” fan fave and fitness guru Angela Simmons is living her best life with her 4-year-old son Sutton Joseph Tennyson. The two enjoyed themselves at a pumpkin patch this month.

Simmons sported an army green jacket, blue jeans, and black ankle boots while her son rocked a red, blue, and white sweatsuit with blue converse.

“My little pumpkin 🎃,” the 33-year-old captioned the gallery of photos.

But the dynamic duo wasn’t there at the pumpkin patch alone. Simmons’ father, Joseph “Rev. Run” Simmons from the iconic hip-hop trio Run-DMC, also was there spending time with his grandson and daughter.

Fans gushed at the sight of Simmons holding her look-alike close to her.

“WOW! he looks JUST LIKE YOU!”

“Twinning 😍😍.”

“That’s a beautiful picture🎃🎃.”

“🤗💙💙💙💙Hi, honey looking good family 👸🏻👦🏽👳🏾‍♂️🤴🏽😘😘.”

Young Sutton’s father, Sutton Tennyson, was shot to death at his Atlanta home on Nov. 3, 2018.

It seems as though Simmons has had help from her father and other family members to help create a father figure in her son’s life, which explains Rev. Run being present at their family trip.

During a “GUHH” episode earlier this year, Simmons revealed to life coach Chenoa Maxwell how she explained to Sutton that his father is no longer here.

“I’m showing him videos and pictures and stuff, and then he stops. It’s not like he’s full conversational yet, so that’s what makes this emotional. He was like, ‘Is he alive?’”

Simmons couldn’t hold back her tears after the challenging moment. On the anniversary of his death in 2019, Simmons posted a photo of Tennyson holding his sleeping son when he was a baby.

“Today marks a year since you left us. 🙏🏽 Sutton, You left us exactly a year ago today. I want to let you know your baby boy is flourishing; he’s growing. He’s everything you knew he’d be and even more. I look at him every day….and I see you so much. You’d be so proud of him,” Simmons wrote.

“The way I’m proud of him. He talks to me about you before bed. He’s adorable Sutton. There’s so much I want to tell you. But I know you are with us every day. I can never repay you or thank you enough for the light you have brought to my life. He’s so precious. And we miss you. So much more to say. But thank you for everything. Gone but never forgotten. ♥️,” she concluded.
