Moniece Slaughter Says Shaq Broke Up With Her Because ‘He Doesn’t Like To be Questioned’

Moniece Slaughter is revealing the true reason behind the end of her and Shaquille O’Neal’s relationship. In a Sept. 3 interview with Domenick Nati on “The Domenick Nati Radio Show,” Slaughter talked about how she caused the breakup despite enjoying the relationship.

After being asked which celebrity she enjoyed dating the most, she replied, “Shaq. He’s going to kill me for that, but yeah.”

“We haven’t spoken in a long time but that was a fun time in my life,” she said.

Slaughter told Nati, “I mentioned it before, but I don’t think many people caught it.”

According to Slaughter, the relationship took place in 2011–2012 before she was a cast member of “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood.” She said that after season 1 of the show there was a viewing of the first episode, and she was shocked to find out that her son’s father, Lil Fizz, was painting her as a “bitter baby mama.”

Reminiscing on the moment, she said that her response after seeing it was something along the lines of “if I really wanted to, I would’ve stayed with Shaq, taken my baby daddy to court and taken full custody, but I didn’t,” revealing that Shaq offered to help her keep her son.

Nati then asked the 33-year-old if the relationship was exclusive, and she responded saying that “I was told that that’s what it was.”

Continuously seeing rumors on the blogs, at first she tried to believe his excuses but then said “see ya” after realizing that there was something more going on.

However, Slaughter wasn’t the initial one to say “see ya”, it was actually Shaq. She said, “he broke it off with me because I was asking too many questions. He doesn’t want to be questioned. He does not like to be cornered.”

Slaughter noted that the two of them are “still good friends” and also said that they still keep in contact here and there. According to her, the last time that they spoke was on Mother’s Day.
