‘Spritz On Deck’: Kandi Burruss’ Throwback Photo with Xscape Derails When Fans Focus on Her Hairdo

What’s a Thursday without #ThrowbackThursday? “Real Housewives of Atlanta working diva Kandi Burruss knows the answer to that question. Burruss’ résumé extends far beyond the Bravo reality show that has fans tuning in every Sunday night for more drama and glam.

Burruss was once a part of the hot ’90s girl group Xscape.

Burruss took her fans back down memory lane with images of herself and three former band mates before close friend Tiny Harris came along and a gal named Tamera Coggins-Wynn left the group.

“This is a real #throwbackthursday! It’s #Xscape before @majorgirl was in the group,” Burruss wrote for the gallery of pics. “I think I was 14 in this pic. Wow! I didn’t even know the journey that I was about to take. #TBT The good old days!”

The current mother of three rocked a signature throwback half-up, half-down hairdo. Burruss, 44, topped her look off with a short black crop top, blue jeans, a black belt, a gold necklace, and hoops.

Fans cracked up over the nostalgic pics that showcased Burruss’ “way back when” hairstyle.

“Yaaaas😂🙌🏾 , the hair was fried, dyed, and laid to Da side!”

“I can smell the hair in this pic, lol.”

“Pump it up, spritz on deck ❤️😘😂🤣.”

The iconic group members include Tiny Harris (born Tameka Cottle), Tamika Scott, and LaTocha Scott. Xscape is known for hit R&B records that include “Just Kickin’ It,” “My Little Secret,” and “Who Can I Run To?”

In 2017, the ladies performed a medley of songs at the BET Awards. That same year, Xscape embarked on a reunion tour with other R&B songstresses Monica and Tamar Braxton.

On May 22, Harris commemorated the band’s 22nd anniversary of their third album release, “Traces of My Lipstick,” with a throwback video of herself and all the ladies, including Coggins-Wynn, singing a Clark Sisters record.

“Since 22 yrs ago today is the day we released our 3rd album Traces OF My Lipstick, I thought I’d post a video of our very beginnings! 5 instead of 4. #Xscape @kandi @tamera_wynn @therealtamikascott @iamlatocha 👑🖤‼️🙌🏽,” Harris wrote.
