‘Black Excellence’: Ciara Announces That She’s Releasing New Music with Photo of Her and Her Kids, Fans Get Excited

Ciara is releasing new music! The 34-year-old singer and songwriter announced in a Tuesday, Aug. 11, Instagram post that her new track “Rooted” featuring Ester Dean will drop on Thursday. The “Level Up” artist shared the exciting news alongside a photo of what seemed to be the cover of her forthcoming track.

The image shows Ciara baring her old baby bump in a black pleather bandeau top with matching pants, and rocking an afro. She tied her outfit together with an oversized jacket, dark shades and black sneakers. Flanked by her 6-year-old son Future Zahir Wilburn and her 3-year-old daughter Sienna Princess Wilson, Ciara posed for the shot by sitting in a brown chair that appeared to be in a field. Her children followed the theme of the shoot and sported an all-black outfit. “#Rooted 8.13.20,” she captioned the image.

Some people went absolutely insane over her announcement. One person wrote underneath the image: “Come throughhhhhhhh 🔥🙌🏾 BLACK EXCELLENCE,” while another person said, “New Music, yessss🔥🔥🔥.” Somebody else reacted to the news by writing, “This photo is everything and then some!!😍.” A fourth fan mentioned, “Dope AF😍.” At the time the photo was taken, Ciara was pregnant with her third child, Win Wilson.

Ciara announced that she gave birth to her baby boy on Friday, July 24, during which she posted a video on Instagram of her singing “Happy Birthday” to Win while wearing a black mask and cradling her son against her chest. She revealed that her baby was born weighing 8 pounds, 1 ounce. Baby Win was originally due sometime in August, but he made his debut a few weeks early.

The Texas native and her NFL star husband Russell Wilson are the proud parents to their bundle of joy and Sienna. The pair also raise Ciara’s 6-year-old son Future Zahir Wilburn, whom she shares with her ex-fiancé, rapper Future.
