‘Beautiful Family’: Keyshia Cole and Niko Khale Come Together for Their Son’s First Birthday After Alleged Breakup

The celebration of Keyshia Cole‘s youngest son Tobias Khale turning one proved an event to remember.

The “Trust and Believe” singer joined alleged ex-boyfriend Niko Khale to celebrate their son’s special day this week. Cole took to Instagram on Tuesday, Aug. 4, and posted a series of pictures that showed her, baby Tobias, Khale and their loved ones clearly having the time of their lives at Tobias’ “Toy Story”- themed birthday party.

Cole and Khale didn’t post any family portraits of them together at the celebration, but fans noted that it was good to see the pair come together for their son.

“Beautiful family! 💛,” wrote one IG user. “How cute, Tobias had a Toy Story them. Happy birthday little guy🎂.”

“Awwww @nikokhale is there lovely family
❤️,” another added.

Khale also posted a sweet message to baby Tobias via Instagram and wrote, “I can’t believe you’re already 1 Tobi Toes!!!! You changed the game for me. My heart beats different. I’ve dropped the ball plenty of times in life but I will never fail you as a Father. You’re blessed beyond measure & Daddy loves you more than you will ever know! Happy Birthday twin 🎁 We lit 🕺🏾.”

Breakup rumors surrounded Cole and Khale nearly two weeks ago after the twosome reportedly unfollowed each other on social media. The former “Love and Hip Hop” star also removed all pics of the aspiring rapper from her Instagram page and wrote in her IG bio, “Choosing to be happy EVERYDAY!”

Cole and Khale haven’t addressed their alleged split and appear to be focusing on co-parenting their son.

Democracy needs journalism it can trust.

This election season, the stakes are higher than usual — and so is the pressure on newsrooms to soften their coverage, stay quiet, or just disappear. Independent reporting, the kind that answers to readers instead of advertisers or political pressure, matters more in a moment like this, not less.

For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed independent and reader-funded. We have no corporate owner and no shareholders telling us what to cover or how to cover it. That independence is also our biggest vulnerability: nothing protects it except readers choosing to fund it directly.

Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under in a moment like this, it's rarely the independent, reader-funded ones that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
