Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson might be canceled for comments he recently made about dating Black women. On Friday, July 3, the 45-year-old New York native made a virtual appearance on Lil Wayne‘s radio show “Young Money Radio,” where the high-profile rappers dished about Pop Smoke‘s latest album, Nicki Minaj‘s strides in the music industry, and dating.
During the conversation, the “Power” executive producer opened up about his experience dating “exotic” women and the comments he received from Black women because of it. “They get mad. They get angry. You see a lot of sisters go, ‘You f–k with this kind of girl or that kind of girl?’ That sh-t is exotic!” 50 Cent told Lil Wayne at the 45:44 mark.
The “Lollipop” artist laughed before jokingly telling the G-unit mogul, “You stupid!” 50 Cent continued: “That sh-t look a lot different than the sh-t you see in the neighborhood all of the time. That sh-t look like it came off a boat baby,” he said as Lil Wayne laughed continuously.
“It looks like something foreign. It looks like something you can’t just get. So in some ways, it is kind of interesting to explore, you know what I’m saying? But they get mad, they get angry. ‘How did you end up with this mothaf—a?’ I’m like ‘Huh?’” he stressed at the 46:12 mark. “And then my instincts always make me defensive, so I go, ‘Look at this angry Black mothaf—a, get the f–k out of here, you trynna f–k up the whole vibe,’” he yelled while punching the air.
Fans were not happy with 50 Cent’s comments or Lil Wayne’s reactions. One user wrote: “Guess that’s why he hate his ‘black son’ & love the ‘exotic one’ Sick 🙄.” Another fan remarked: “Lil Wayne has a whole black daughter and he’s laughing in agreement! Black women teach your sons to do better, we can’t pass this ignorance to the next generation.”
50 Cent has a 7-year-old son Sire Jackson with his ex-girlfriend and Filipino actress Daphne Joy. He also has an estranged relationship with his 22-year-old son Marquis Jackson, whom he shares with African-American Shaniqua Tompkins, a veteran of the reality TV shows “Starter Wives” and “Starter Wives Confidential.”
The “In Da Club” artist is currently dating Jamira Haines, known as Cuban Link. Jamira responded to her man’s comments on Instagram by sharing a photo of 50 Cent on his birthday and hinting in her caption that she checked him about his statement. She wrote: “don’t worry ladies , I already knocked him upside his big a-s head 👊🏽😒..Happy Birthday My Love 💪🏽🤎.”
Lil Wayne’s 21-year-old daughter Reginae Carter took to Twitter to respond to the interview. “I’m black ! I’m beautiful ! I’m enough ! I’m exotic ! I’m amazing ! I’m one of a mf kind !!!! Now where my black beautiful Queens at?” she asked with a smile and heart emoji.
