‘Let It Go Curtis’: Fans Aren’t Here for 50 Cent’s Response to Ja Rule’s Greek Restaurant Commercial

50 Cent is never one to pass up an opportunity to clown Ja Rule, so when the “Always On Time” rapper’s commercial for a local Greek restaurant made its way around the internet fans knew it was only a matter of time before 50 came for him.

The beef that will never die has made its way back into headlines thanks to Ja’s new commercial for Papa Cristo’s Greek Grill in Los Angeles. In the spot, the “What’s Love” rapper is seen giddily promoting the business, whose menu he struggles with pronouncing, as he’s poorly superimposed over video and images of the restaurant.

50 Cent took to Instagram to mock his forever rival’s seemingly questionable career choice writing, “This is what happens when fuck with me,” in a since-deleted post. “I’ll have you and your whole label selling Gyro’s go head try me!”

Fans jumped to Ja Rule’s defense in the comments, saying that 50 needs to let his “disturbing” fixation on the “I’m Real” rapper go and that now isn’t the time for the Black community to be divisive and petty.

“Won’t be distracted y’all we gotta up lift each other,” reminded a fan.

“50’s obsession with Ja is disturbing at this point,” another commented.

“50 needs to humble himself his actions are disgusting and childish,” reprimanded a third.

“Let that man feed his family in peace,” a fourth said.

“He so miserable 🙄 Like let it go Curtis,” wrote a fifth.

“Not gonna lie tho he got me wanting a Gyro I love Greek food 🤦🏾‍♀️ maybe I’m just hungry tho,” a sixth fan joked.

As it turns out, Ja Rule actually filmed the commercial as part of the TBS reality show, “Celebrity Show-Off,” which aims to “turn TV and social media upside down by transforming the variety format into an innovative experiment.” The celebrity cast, which includes LA Laker Dwight Howard and “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Nene Leakes, will compete in weekly challenges to see who can gain the most YouTube views in an effort to raise money for their charities.
