Loni Love appears to be showing her age. The 48-year-old comedian admitted in a June 16 Instagram video that she needed help using TikTok. People have been using the video-sharing service to entertain themselves during their shelter-in-place days, and now it seems that Loni has officially jumped on the bandwagon.
The talk show host for “The Real” wore a gold head wrap with a black halter top and appeared to be sitting in her car. In the footage, Loni imitated an older man asking for assistance with the social networking service. “So what is the Tiki Taki? Wh- wh- we supposed to dance? What- What we supposed to do? Let me know in the comments. What we doing with this? Huh?”
Loni hinted in her caption that she needed a few tips to help her navigate the platform. She wrote: “Help #auntieloni out ๐๐๐๐๐๐#TikTok.” One user encouraged the “Soul Plane” actress to search videos of people within her age group.”๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ Use the hashtag tiktokersover40 and you will see us dancing and we will tell you what to do.” However, another agreed that TikTok could be challenging for the older generation. “Girl you funny.๐๐๐ I am old old school I have TikTok and I just watch the videos I still donโt know how to use it LOL.”
Many people also expressed the idea that Loni was naturally funny. “I love iiiiitt๐คฃ๐คฃ,” someone else commented, followed by, “๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐๐๐๐,” from a fourth user.
Loni was set to go on a comedy tour with Nene Leakes, Sherri Shepherd, B Simone, and Janelle James, but the shows got postponed because of the pandemic. In addition to learning TikTok, the Detroit native and former electrical engineer appears to be teleworking during her stay-at-home period. She recently posted an image on Instagram that showed her recording a voiceover for the television show “Bridezillas.”
