Who needs a nightclub when you can turn your living room into a dance floor? Draya Michele seems to believe that theory. On the evening of Sunday, June 7, the former “Basketball Wives” reality star threw a dance party in her home with her best friend Reen. Michele posted a video on Instagram that showed the 35-year-old entrepreneur and her bestie moving their bodies to the song “Come & Talk to Me” by Jodeci.
Wearing a white minidress and a jacket, the Mint Swimwear founder snapped her fingers to the sound of the music and walked around her living space. Michele’s hair was tightly pulled back into a long ponytail. To enhance her simple garment, she wore large silver hoop earrings. During the verse, “You look so sexy; you really turn me on,” Michele walked seductively toward the camera, removed her jacket, and sat on the couch.
Reen sported blue jeans, a white tank top, and black slide sandals. Her braided tresses were pulled into a low ponytail and extended down her back. The two appeared to be enjoying their time together. In Michele’s caption, she wrote: “It’s a celebration every time we link up. Even if we driving round in circles or stuck in the house. @_reen_1.”
The video received over 200,000 views and some 200 comments from people gushing over their friendship.

Reen and Michele have been close friends for quite some time. The television personality documents their bond on social media often. In 2017, Michele posted a vlog on YouTube that showed her picking up Reen from the airport. At that time Reen resided in another state, while Michele lived in Los Angeles. The girls went salsa dancing, ate street tacos, and enjoyed the West Coast night life during their vacation. When Michele dropped Reen off at the airport, she started to cry, explaining that she was going to miss her best friend.
In 2018, the ladies went to Mexico for a tropical vacation. It’s unclear how they initially became friends, but it appears that Reen has been in Michele’s life since before Michele rose to fame as a reality star on the hit VH1 series.
