‘Start Them Off Young’: Fans Applaud ‘Married to Medicine’ Star Mariah Huq for Having Her Children on the Front Line

Mariah Huq and her two children Lauren Tayler Huq and Ethan Tyler Huq spent the evening of Wednesday, June 3 at a peaceful protest in McDonough, Georgia. The “Married to Medicine” series creator posted a photo on Instagram that showed her children holding up signs in honor of the Black Lives Matter movement.

Wearing a black-and-white striped shirt and a pair of shorts, Ethan held up a poster that read, “Since you Borrowed our culture, Share our struggle! Black lives Matter!” A young girl who appeared to be a family member stood, wearing a black-and-white romper, next to Huq’s son.

Her poster, which was much smaller than the others, included writing in yellow and green letters. “Just because the color of somebody’s skin is different, doesn’t mean they’re different from other people,” it read. Lauren donned a red shirt, ripped blue jeans, and a face mask. Her hair was pulled up into a high bun. Her board read, “If All lives mattered we wouldn’t have to say Black Lives Matter Too! Next question…”
