Jet-setting couple Steve and Marjorie Harvey apparently have new digs to call home in Atlanta, and they only cost $15 million, according to an unconfirmed report by TMZ. Although the price tag is the kicker for most, it’s who the home once belonged to that has others talking about the big purchase.
The mansion located in the Buckhead community boasts more than 34,000 square feet, seven bedrooms, spa amenities, and was once owned by media mogul Tyler Perry.
The “Madea” mastermind first purchased the 17-acre property in 2007 for $7 million. After a slew of renovations, in 2016 he was able to sell the mansion for $17.5 million to evangelist David Turner. Perry still lives in the Atlanta area, now in the suburb of Douglasville, where he reportedly owns more than 1,000 acres.
The Harveys spent most of their spring at their Los Angeles home as they sheltered in place while “the ’rona” spread across the country. The pair’s social media posts while cooling their heels at home let fans get a glimpse at the luxurious lifestyle the comedian’s career has afforded the couple.
“I want to be quarantined at your house!” wrote one person after watching the couple pick fruit from their garden.
On social, people had a few comments after learning about the Harveys’ big-ticket purchase in Georgia, a deal that has not yet been confirmed.
“That’s a lot of Family Feud episodes”
“Seems like quarantine is not affecting these people my gosh!!”
“My first thought … who gone clean that big house? Then 💥 the maids!!!!”
The comedian’s wife of 12 years is no novice when it comes to the finer things in life. The 54-year-old is known for turning heads with couture outfits and her trips to Paris Fashion Week.
She even gives her youngest daughter, 23-year-old Lori Harvey, a run for her money in the looks and style department.
“You’re so fabulous 💖”
“I have been and will continue to be ” TEAM. Marjorie” do it!!!!!”
“FLAT OUT BEAUTIFUL 😍😍😍”
