The Christie’s have renewed their wedding vows every year since tying the knot for the first time in 1995. Jackie explained on VH1’s 14 Days of Love Special that she and Doug originally had a shotgun wedding. She claimed many of their family and friends were not able to attend the ceremony so they renewed their vows the following year.
“It was just such a beautiful experience, coming together and celebrating our first year, that we decided to do it every year and make it a family tradition,” Jackie said. The actress from the film “Deceitful” shared that planning their vow renewal is their secret to maintaining their long lasting relationship. “If we’re always planning a wedding, we don’t have time to plan a divorce,” she said.
