Alexis Skyy‘s daughter Alaiya “Lay Lay” Grace may just have a future as a makeup artist. Skyy, the newest cast member of “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta,” recently posted a video to Instagram of Lay Lay pretending to put makeup on the social media influencer’s face. People thought the playful video was cute and mentioned they caught all the feels from the clip.
The reality star sat on the floor Sunday, April 5, as her daughter stood next to her and patted Skyy’s face with a purple beauty blender. The video depicted her 2-year-old princess tapping Skyy on the nose with the makeup sponge.
The beauty blender eventually fell out of her small hands, and the 25-year-model handed her daughter a blue hair brush. Skyy’s pride and joy knocked the brush away from her mother’s hand and continued to put the beauty blender towards the television personality’s face. “You want to do my makeup,” Skyy told her daughter.
The New York native gave her baby girl a light brown foundation stick, but her daughter was only interested in running the purple beauty blender across Skyy’s face. Lay Lay seemingly took her makeup gig seriously, and fans were gushing over her work ethic.
“She like I don’t wanna brush your hair I want to do your makeup 😍😍😍😍,” a user said.
A second fan wrote, “Omg she’s so beautiful 😍 and she knows which one she wants lol. She don’t want to brush your hair today 💅🏽.”
“She’s so smart 😍😍😍😍😍🙏🙏🙏🙏,” a third user praised.
“I can see her doing makeup when she gets older go Laylay go ❤️❤️❤️🦋,” a fourth encouraged.
A fifth commented, “Look at that smart babyyyy ❤️❤️❤️👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Go lil lex.”
“Yesss ! She is BLENDING THAT FOUNDATION 😹😹💞💞💞💞,” a sixth virtually shouted.
“She love that beauty blender! Go head little MUA,” said a seventh.
Lay Lay was born three months prematurely in January 2018, when she was diagnosed with a condition called hydrocephalus. The disorder is characterized by extra fluid putting pressure on the brain, which then could result in brain damage. Lay Lay, whose father purportedly is rapper Fetty Wap, underwent multiple brain surgeries and now has a device in her head to help drain the excess fluid.
Skyy has been there for her daughter through every surgery. She opened up on the March 23 episode of “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” about the struggles that come with raising a child with a disability. She explained how much she loves her baby despite the obstacles the mother-daughter duo have had to overcome.
