“Peace and love. The show must go on,” said Badu in an Instagram video that she posted on Tuesday, March 17. “Introducing the ‘Quarantine Concert Series’ live from my bedroom. We got to keep moving, y’all. We got to keep this going.”

“We’re a community of artists,” she continued. “Our survival depends on performing, creating, laughing, living and loving when we’re still alive. Stay tuned.”

Undoubtedly, people are extremely excited about the concert, which they communicated in the comments section of Badu’s post. Many also pointed to which songs they hope she performs.

“ERYKAH MY LOVE YOU HAVE OUTDONE YOURSELF🖤🦋Thank you,” one person wrote.

“I can’t wait. Orange moon will always be my vote 🧡🧡🧡,” wrote another.

“Please do Out my mind, I want You, Green Eyes!!!😍😍😍😍,” someone else requested.

News of Badu’s concert came on the same day that John Legend put on an all-acoustic performance on Instagram from his house. Legend’s wife Chrissy Teigen and their 3-year-old daughter Luna were a part of the livestream as well.

Reportedly, over 100,000 people watched Legend perform, and he spoke about the importance of everyone doing things differently because of the coronavirus.

“That was pretty cool,” Legend told CBS This Morning about the number of people who watched the Instagram show. “The message we’re trying to get out to people is, one, as much as you can stay home and stay away from physical contact with other people, [do it].”

“And then, secondly, if you have the means to help support other people that are going through a tougher time than you are, then try to do so,” he added.

In regards to Badu, she said there will be more details provided about her livestream concert soon.

“We gone pull it off. We gone be calm,” she captioned her video. “You gone help me make it happen. Can’t do it without you.”
