Romeo Miller is not here for the beef people are trying to hype up between him and his “Growing Up Hip Hop” costar Angela Simmons.
It’s no secret the pair are no longer friends, but the “Back On” rapper suggested he had no hard feelings toward her. On the February 27 episode of the show, he and Simmons attended the same event and apparently refused to speak to each other. Simmons’ sister, Vanessa Simmons, tried to be the mediator and discuss the situation with Miller at the affair, but he insisted there was nothing to talk about and cut the conversation short.
When Miller saw the episode circulating on Twitter with the headline, “Things Get Awkward When Angela Simmons & Romeo Miller Show Up At The Same Event,” he addressed the scene. He claimed “GUHH” producers tried to create fake drama between him and the Simmons sisters with bad editing.
“Literally was dealing with my auntie death and hopped on a plane right after this scene to make her funeral,” he tweeted Thursday, Feb. 27. “Great editing tho. Was literally in and out and came to show love to Egypt for HER engagement. Yall gotta stop with the fake drama, but that’s why I left the show. ☮️✌🏾”
He added in a separate message, “Let Go and let GoD.”
“GUHH” viewers seemed to side with Miller.
“People will forever see the things they want to see. My condolences on your loss. Regardless of what’s posted your real fans know the king that you are! ♥️”
“Omg I’m not watching it no more husband why you leave? Fire Angela”
“@RomeoMiller their dragging that mess out with Angela for ratings and people are really getting sick of it good for you do you Rome”
“You dont have to explain, you had to do what you had todo. What sucks is we your fans dont get to see you as much and some watch the show because of you NOT ANGELA. She’s so fake!”
It’s unclear why the friendship between Miller and Angela Simmons ended. The childhood star claimed his friendship with the mother of one was doing him “more harm than good.” Simmons said she’s clueless as to why Miller stopped talking to her.
The two are no longer on speaking terms.
